The City of Aumsville Public Works Department consists of 5 employees.  Public Works maintains city parks, streets, stormwater, wastewater collections, wastewater treatment, water distribution, and water treatment.  Our goals are to provide safe and reliable drinking water to the community, safe clean parks that everyone can enjoy, and that all other systems such as streets, stormwater, and wastewater perform reliably and without interruption.   Our parks are Porter Boone Park, Mill Creek Park, Tower Park, Wildwood Splash Park, Highberger Park, and the newly acquired Bishop Rd park.  Our wastewater collections system consist of 14 miles of underground piping that comes to our lagoon wastewater treatment facility where wastewater is treated. The treated water is discharged to Beaver Creek in the fall and winter and during the summer months used to irrigate a grass seed field on West Stayton Rd.  Our water system consists of 13.5 miles of water distribution piping.  We have 5 well sites that are all combined and treated at our water treatment plant and once treated is distributed to nearly 1100 connections throughout the city. We work hard to maintain Aumsville as a great place to live.
