About the Aumsville Police Department

The Aumsville Police Department has 8 full-time positions, consisting of Chief, Sergeant, 5 Patrol Officers, and 1 Police Support Specialist/Court Clerk.  We also have positions available for up to 10 Reserve Officers.  We provide 24-hour coverage, 7 days a week, including holidays.  Our lobby is open Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, closed weekends and holidays. We are located at 597 Main St. and can be reached by phone at 503-749-2188 (business) or by calling 911.  There is also an emergency phone located just outside the lobby doors (gray box).

The Aumsville Police Department’s mission is to be in the service of our community to safeguard life and property with transparency by operating proactively to reduce crime and the fear there of, while holding strong to our core values.

Core Values

The motto of the Aumsville Police Department is “Together Everyone Accomplishes More” (TEAM) and can be seen on our Patrol Vehicles.  We are committed to 5 core values, embossed on our department challenge coin.  Those core values are: Courage, Honesty, Integrity, Adaptability, and Balance. 

It is with these values in mind that the women and men of the Aumsville Police Department commit themselves to our citizens.  We are fortunate to have some of the most professional employees in law enforcement.  Our members are proud to serve the residents and visitors of Aumsville and realize we have been entrusted with the safety and protection of their families and community.
