Mill Creek Park & Brian Haney Memorial Skate Park

 

Updated Rules for the Skate Park:

  • Stay six feet apart. 
  • No more than 25 users at any one time
  • The skate park will open at dawn and close at dust. No users after dark.
  • Users must follow all rules posted at the park, these include updated mandates from the State of Oregon. 

These are reasonable rules and if they cannot be followed we will close the skate park as needed. Participants not following the rules may be trespassed by an officer, at any time. 

This park has two covered areas, a baseball diamond, restrooms, horseshoe pits, a playground, and access to Mill Creek. You can reserve the covered areas. See the reservation information here. 

The skate park is open the same hours as the park.  Lights are turned off at 10pm.

BRIAN HANEY MEMORIAL SKATE PARK

NOTICE TO USERS:

 

Brian Haney Memorial Skate Park IS NOT SUPERVISED.  All users of the Park do so at their OWN RISK! Users of the Park facility and the parents and guardians of children using the facility are advised that skating, skateboarding, and rollerblading can be a HAZARDOUS ACTIVITY which may result in SERIOUS INJURY to the skater including, but not limited to, broken bones, paralysis, brain damage, and even death. The City of Aumsville ASSUMES NO RESPONSIBILITY for any personal injury, loss, or damage resulting from the use of the Skate Park. Parents and guardians are responsible for their children’s safety and for ensuring that their children comply with the following Park rules. The USE OF PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT including helmets, knee and elbow pads, and wrist guards is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. The Skate Park has different levels of difficulty ranging from areas for the novice to the professional skater. SKATERS SHOULD KNOW THEIR ABILITIES AND STAY WITHIN THEM. Skaters should be prepared for the greater risks involved before attempting a more difficult area within the Park.

 

The Skate Park and surrounding areas are video and audio recorded.

 

SKATE PARK RULES

 

  • Only skateboards, skates, and roller blades should be used in the Park. No foot traffic, bicycles, BMX bikes, or motorized vehicles will be allowed within the Park.
  • The Park is to be kept clean, No food or drink is allowed on the Sate Park surface.
  • Additional obstacles such as ramps and jumps are prohibited and are not to be brought into the Park.
  • No alcohol, tobacco products, drugs, or glass containers are allowed in the Park.
  • All skaters are to be respectful of others.
  • Vulgar, threatening, or abusive language is prohibited.
  • Loud noise or music is prohibited.
  • Intentionally charging or colliding with other skaters is prohibited.
  • Reckless or dangerous skating is prohibited.
  • Littering is prohibited, skaters are to use trash containers provided.
  • The Skate Park is not to be used if hazardous conditions exist. Hazardous conditions exist if the Skate Park surface is wet or if debris, litter or other obstacles are on the surface.

Violation of any of these rules can result in temporary and /or permanent expulsion from the Park.
