National Police Week and Peace Officers Memorial Day

Thank you cookie and note for police officers service

President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which dedicated May 15th as Peace Officers Memorial Day, the week in which this day falls is Police Week.

On May 15th we fly our flag half-staff to honor federal, state, and municipal peace officers who have been killed or disabled in the line of duty.

The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Day Fund shows a list of recently fallen heroes, you can see their list here. The website has a photo of each officer which shares more about the community they served and how they passed.

We thank our officers, and peace officers throughout the country, for their bravery and service.
