Public Works FAQs

A drainage problem involving public streets, storm sewers or drainage ditches should be reported to the Public Works Department at (503) 749-1185.

Problems with the sanitary sewer system and also the storm sewer system (surface drainage water) should be reported to the Public Works Department at (503)749-1185.

City streets are reported to the Public Works Maintenance Division (503)749-1185.  

Problems on County roads (1st, Main, and 11th Streets) should be reported to Marion County Department of Public Works

State and Federal roads (Hwy 22) are reported to the Oregon Department of Transportation

Major water main breaks can be reported by dialing 9-1-1. Dispatch will contact the appropriate maintenance personnel.

If it is a suspected leak or minor problem a citizen can report it directly to the Public Works Department at (503) 749-1185.
