Utility Billing Information

Utility Billing handles setup of your new water/sewer account, processing payments, and canceling your account. Any questions related to billing, payments, and accounts should be referred to City Hall. See below for a breakdown of the monthly utility rates, and a schedule of meter-read and shutoff dates.

Annual cost-of-service adjustments to water and sewer rates generally take effect in June of each year and will be reflected on the bill you receive in July.

Paying Your Utility Bill

You may pay your utility bill by mail, in person, online, or by phone. Payments made by credit/debit, or EFT (electronic funds transfer, or e-check) will have a fee added by the third-party payment processing system. The fee for EFT payments is less than the fee for credit/debit payments. To avoid this fee, you may pay by cash in person, or you may pay by check by mail, in person, or at the drop box located in front of City Hall.

Pay Online

To register for our online payment portal or set up automatic payments, click here. Already registered? Click here to sign in and pay online using debit/credit card, EFT, or PayPal. To register for automatic payments, you must enter your account number (including the .0 or .1, etc.). If you do not know your account number, you may call City Hall for assistance retrieving it. You will not receive an account number until after the first billing cycle. Automatic payments are typically processed on the 10th of each month, but may be affected by your bank/credit card company, or if the 10th falls on a holiday or weekend.

Pay by Mail

All mail should be addressed to:
City of Aumsville
595 Main St
Aumsville, OR 97325

Pay by Phone

To make a payment by phone, you may call 1-855-984-1203. Please note that there is an additional fee assessed by the third party payment processor for debit/credit card payments.

Pay In Person

You may pay in person at City Hall by cash, check, or credit/debit card. Please note that payments made in person using debit/credit cards will still have the fee assessed by the third-party servicer.

The drop-box located outside of City Hall is for check payments only. No cash payments should be left in the drop-box

Request an Extension

If you are unable to pay your bill in full by the shut-off date, contact City Hall staff to request an extension in order to avoid your water being shut off. A $30 service fee will be assessed at 9:00 AM on shut-off day (or on your extension date if you have not made your payment) and your water will be shut off. To request an extension, you may complete the Utility Extension Request Form online, or in person at City Hall. Extensions will not be taken over the phone.

All extension requests must be received prior to 9:00 am on your shut-off day to avoid the additional $30 service fee. Extension requests must fall on a weekday other than Friday. Extension requests falling on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday will not be granted. Extensions may not extend past the due date for the next bill. All payments must be made before 9:00 am on your extension date to avoid shut-off and a $30 service fee. To discuss possible assistance options or other arrangements, call to speak with City staff: 503-749-2030.

Water & Sewer Applications

If you recently moved to an address within Aumsville city limits, you will need to complete an application for utility services with the City. If you are not sure if your address is within city limits, give us a call to ask. This application is also required for owners of rental homes, even if the renter will be paying the utility bill
