Aumsville Park Annexation, Zone Map Amendment, and Zone Change
File No. 2025-01 ANNEX

Monday, July 14, 2025 AT 7:00 PM in the Aumsville Community Center

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN

On Monday, July 14, 2025, at 7:00 pm, Aumsville City Council will hold a public hearing regarding file number 2025-01 ANNEX Eastside Park, for an annexation to the Aumsville City Limits, zone change, and zoning map amendment. Annexations, zone changes, and zoning map amendments must be consistent with the criteria of Aumsville Development Ordinance (ADO) Section 17 Annexations, Section 16 Zone Changes, and Section 15 Amendments. The meeting will be held at the Aumsville Community Center, 555 Main Street, Aumsville, Oregon, and remotely via the Zoom meeting platform. The agenda with Zoom meeting link will be posted on the City’s website: www.aumsville.us/meetings

APPLICATION DETAILS

The City Council adopted Ordinance 721 in June 2023, which amended the Aumsville UGB and the Comprehensive Plan to accommodate the Eastside Community Park (Tax Lot 081W30D000600), per the Aumsville Parks Master Plan (updated June 2023). The proposed annexation will complete the actions identified within the Parks Master Plan (PMP), including the identified Eastside Community Park site within the Aumsville City Limits, consistent with the direction of the Aumsville Comprehensive Plan. Proposed rezoning will be Public (P) City Zoning which allows parks outright.

At the conclusion of the public hearing, the City Council will make a decision regarding the proposed annexation. The application shall be processed as a Type III Action. The ADO can be viewed online at www.aumsville.us/ordinance/ord-705-development-ordinance for free. A copy of the application, all documents and evidence submitted by or on behalf of the applicant, and applicable criteria are available for inspection online at www.aumsville.us/meetings within the meeting materials, and at Aumsville City Hall for free. Copies will be provided at reasonable cost. A staff report will be available for inspection at least seven (7) days prior to the public hearing. For more information, contact Sam Beitzel, City Executive Assistant, sbeitzel [at] aumsville.us (sbeitzel[at]aumsville[dot]us).

Public testimony will be accepted from all interested parties. Testimony may be submitted in writing in advance of the public hearing to: Sam Beitzel, City of Aumsville, 595 Main Street, Aumsville, OR 97325. Written testimony submitted in advance of the hearing must include the application file number, the name of the interested party, and a mailing address. During the public hearing, testimony may be provided in person, in writing, by phone, or by video. Testimony shall be directed to the applicable decision criteria. Failure to raise an issue with sufficient specificity to afford all parties to the hearing an opportunity to respond to the issue prior to the close of the public hearing precludes the opportunity for appeals to City Council and LUBA on that issue.

The meeting location is accessible to persons with disabilities. Requests for an interpreter, for the hearing impaired, or for other accommodations must be made at least 48 hours prior to the meeting. Please call City Hall at 503-749-2030 and leave a message, or Oregon Relay Service for TDD at (800) 735-2900.
